Tŷ 19
This traditional quarryman’s cottage at the edge of Bethesda in the beautiful Ogwen
valley lies just outside the Snowdonia National Park where the wild and the quiet are
never far apart.
We offer room for 2 to 4 people, ideal for a couple, but it can also be used by a
parent or a family with children.
To explore the landscapes and culture of the slate quarrying valleys of north Wales,
you won’t have to drive far as some of the most beautiful spots in Eryri (Snowdonia)
are on our doorstep. There’s a shed to store your bikes and walking boots after a
day in the fresh air, visiting Bronze Age stone circles, following old routes, taking
your time in the villages, or exploring the industry and culture of the slate quarries.
Are you keen to learn more about our area’s history and nature? We are offering
guided walks away from the popular attractions and busy mountain tops.
Back at Tŷ 19, you are welcome to relax in the wildlife garden or in front of a wood
fire.
Our kitchen has everything you need to create a tasty meal with fresh ingredients.
Everyone will find something to their taste from our local producers in the markets
and small shops of the area.

In our self-catering cottage, we want for what we do to have a positive effect on the
environment and on people, both locally and globally. We try to use materials and
products that are easily reusable or recyclable. We promote environmental good
practice and fairness, improvement through skills and cooperation, and generally
living together as friends and neighbours. We want to make sure that tourism in our
area contributes to a sustainable development of activities and communities around
us.
