1st Bethesda Cubs & Beavers

Cubs is the group for children aged 8½ to 10 ½. We meet weekly in term time to do a wide range of activities, from hiking and canoeing to first aid and crafty things.

We have at least one camp a year where the Cubs learn to look after themselves and each other. Sleeping in a tent, and learning traditional skills like fire building, cooking over an open fire and other activities and games in the great outdoors.

Beavers is the group for children aged 5¾ to 8½, we meet weekly in term time and do loads of fun activities involving working together and learning new things. This year we have done gardening around Bethesda, orienteering, craft, games, bug hunting, fire lighting, marshmallow toasting and lots of other outdoor and indoor activities.

We are always looking for volunteers or prospective Leaders with experience working with children (inside or in the outdoors) to help us run activities and keep the groups running smoothly.
